The #(RE)ConstruirFuturos/#(RE)BuildingFutures project was born with the mission of guaranteeing three fundamental rights for the healthy and balanced growth of children and young people sheltered in the eight homes of Novo Futuro: Health, Education, and Nutrition.

The 75 children and young people we shelter bring with them stories that have profoundly impacted their emotional, physical, and academic development. The project responds to these needs through a structured and integrated intervention:

• Health: access to regular psychological, psychotherapeutic and psychiatric assessment and monitoring, with medication whenever necessary. This specialized support is crucial to overcome deep emotional scars and ensure that the past does not compromise the future.

• Education: provision of school supplies, books, internet access and computer equipment, as well as educational, cultural, sporting, and community integration activities. The goal is to create equal opportunities, reinforce motivation, and promote academic success and social inclusion.

• Nutrition: acquisition of fresh and varied foods (fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, balanced breakfasts), promoting healthy eating habits that directly impact health, concentration, and school performance.

More than a project, #(RE)ConstruirFuturos is a commitment to hope and dignity, helping each child and young person break cycles of exclusion and (re)build a future with real opportunities for success.
